Viola Heart

Viola Heart is a Canadian-born performance artist based in New York City, renowned for her innovative approach to burlesque. Growing up in Montreal, she showed early promise in music, dedicating 12 years to mastering the cello. Throughout her musical journey, she won cello competitions and performed as the first cellist in prestigious orchestras at iconic venues like La Maison Symphonique.

While music was an integral part of her life, Viola’s passion shifted towards dance after high school, leading her to pursue formal dance education in New York City. Guided by her mother, a former professional dancer, she honed her skills and explored various dance disciplines. However, it was during a transformative move to Berlin that Viola discovered the art form that would shape her future: Burlesque.

Drawn to its rich history and boundless creativity, Viola immersed herself in the world of burlesque, quickly developing a unique artistic vision. Her fascination with the genre propelled her to return to New York, where she founded her own burlesque brand, Violesque. With a deep foundation in both music and dance, Viola Heart has since become a leading force in the burlesque community, blending her diverse background to create an unprecedented fusion of artistry, elegance, and innovation.
